Today we are being told how neural technology can help the blind to see, the deaf to hear, and the paralyzed to walk. Although there are some benefits to this technology, the danger it poses to human health and freedom far outweigh any benefits. This technology can map the human mind, understand the communication of the brain, and introduce chemical changes to alter behavior, implant images, sounds, and smells. This technology can bypass the brains defenses and send commands that are not through the normal senses. It can have your thoughts displayed on a computer terminal in real time. Privacy of thoughts is no more once implanted with this technology. It can even affect dreams and sleep and cause ones heart and lungs to stop working. In addition, it can cause pain to any part of the body. This is the untold story of neural implants. This is what is happening to my nine year old as he was implanted with this technology against his will and without the consent of neither I nor his father. In addition, the testing on animals is equally troubling often animals are abused then killed as they test this technology on poor defense less animals. Our brains are not computers. Our brains are not meant to have this technology placed in them as the body does reject them and the dangers of long term implantation can cause diminished brain functioning from chronic inflammation as the body tries to fight the invasion of this foreign body. Chronic inflammation can cause any number of illnesses, which is why these implants and its use should only be done if the patient is made fully aware of the risks, to which my son, animals, and millions of others were not.
What is being studied currently is how to suppress the effects of the immune system in the central nervous system. Currently, drugs are placed directly on the electrode to be administrated internally to suppress the immune system. Image the grave risk to human health as any number of neurological diseases can be the direct consequences of such an action. I ask for support in letting people understand the real dangers of neural implants and ask for President Obama to free my son from this torment because we never gave our permission for the use of this technology in the brain of my once healthy, happy nine year old.
