Send Thanks to Sheriff's Deputies And Firefighters in Florida who Rescued Drowning Bull

Holy cow! Sheriff's deputies and firefighters saved a struggling bull from drowning

in a pond east of Tampa, Fla.

The 20-year-old, half-ton bovine barely had its head above water when a man mowing grass spotted

the animal on Friday in Lithia, according to WTSP-TV.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department Deputy Christina Ammons hopped in

and helped keep the bull's head above the water for 45 minutes while another deputy

looked out for alligators, WUSF-TV reports.

A crew arrived with a winch to lift the bull onto dry land, the Naples Daily News reports.

Firefighters aided in the aquatic save.

Bull is 20 years old and never had a name until now, now his owner named him Lucky.

Long Live The Lucky! Long live everyone who made this happen!
