SHOW Romania that killing innocent dogs is NOT okay

Dan Jørgensen, Chairman of the EU Intergroup of Animal Welfare, has advised that they are aware of the serious problem in Romania and are working to have it resolved.  Several letters have been sent to the Romanian President, now the EU Intergroup Parliament of Animal Welfare is meeting to discuss the matter further.

Thank you for the support in signing against the killing of healthy stray dogs in Romania.  This petition was to draw your attention to signing the referendum to show Romania it is not okay to euthanase healthy dogs.  However, it's been said the voting has stopped and the votes have been counted in favour of euthanasia. The killing has started.  It is also now coming out that it appears the four year old child whose death is at the heart of this campaign to have the street dogs killed was actually raped and the body dumped. Romania is not listening to what the world is saying.  This particular petition will now cease as the referendum has ceased, however we will still continue to tell Romania it is not okay to kill healthy dogs until they start listening. 

There is a large voting campaign going at the moment in Romania where they are trying to say that euthanasia for stray dogs is okay.  This is where mass killing of dogs acceptable.  It is not acceptable.
