Linton Middle Prison

The students of Linton Middle School used to have the right to wear hoodies, go to their classes on their own, and use the bathroom without a teacher escort. However, at the start of the 2016-17 school year, our school took these basic rights away because of a select few students who abuse the rules. That doesn't mean they should take the rights away from everyone else.

About 95% of students follow the rules, and the students that do abuse the rules, are rarely punished. Instead of turning our school into a prison, I think the security guards, teachers, and principles should discipline the students who break the rules instead of letting them off with a warning. The solution is not to herd us like animals. If you agree that 8th grade children should be treated like students instead of prisoners, please sign this petition.
