I pray that you would sign this because you agree with me that humans and pets should not be left without homes. This is tragic and while families are left without homes, put in perilous situations, and financial debt, pets belonging to these families may be euthenized because they have no where to live. The city council, animal shelter and police are already asking for funds to euthenize more animals, and families left without homes may not have a choice in the matter. When McCook, Nebraska city counsil decided to clean their city, they took a very hard hearted, and nasty point of view on how to do it. They first passed a city ordinance that no household would be able to have more than three pets which caused numerous abandonments and tragic euthinizations around the city, and than they began evicting people living in substandard or old homes, without rebuilding new homes for them, or conpensating them in any way, leaving families without homes, some of which had or have pets. Many of these families have children, and most are low income, maybe a few have a low-middle income and most can not afford to move, and because all inexpensive houses have been torn down, or will be torn down, there are few rentals available, and now there are evicting around 100 families from a trailer court, which brings the number of houses needed in McCook to around 400. 400 families evicted from homes with no money and no where to go. Some made to the smaller villages around McCook, but these villages can not absorb such a high number of renters. Trailer owners will have to move their trailers by a certain date and many do not have the money to do so, which puts them in a serious bind. I am asking you to pray for this very serious situation; to share with others, and to continue to pray! Use any means possible that is Godly and Christian to pass this information along, Prayer Chains, Prayer Relay Teams, Prayer Groups, the internet, phones, texting, and inform the general public of what is going on. These people who have lost their homes need our help and so do their pets. Please sign this petition as a pledge to pray and help if you have a way to do so. But especially pray!
