Please sign and share this petition nationwide to spread the word and find the perpetrator(s) who shot and killed two alligators in the Pond Creek National Wildlife Refuge in southwestern Arkansas. State and federal agencies are offering a $6,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and prosecution.

In Texarkana, Arkansas, two animals were recently found deceased; one of the alligators was shot in March and the other recently, and left decapitated. A spokesperson from the authorities stated that it appears someone just doesn’t like alligators and considers it acceptable to do away with these lawfully protected creatures. They are protected as a threatened species under state and federal law.

The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for killing the alligators is offered by the Humane Society, the Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
