Demand to regulate vaping products for minors heavier, and keep flavored E-products on shelves.

Our president, Donald Trump plans to ban flavored E-juices and devices. Now, this is in response to a recent outbreak In a lung disease associated with vaping, as well as a fear of children getting their hands on vaping products. Now, addressing the initial claim of vaping products causing a lung disease. It is true, vaping has caused an outbreak of lung disease. However, the reports indicate that people hospitalized admit to using illegal black market THC cartridges in conjunction with E-vaping products. Some, haven't used any E-products, only black market THC cartridges. Everyone hospitalized by this admits that they have also been using these black market cartridges. These are not the same cartridges sold legally in states where Cannabis, and cannabis derived products are legal. These legal cartridges are heavily regulated, lab tested, and contain no harmful fillers or dillutants. There are no reports of cartridges or cannabis products purchased from legal states causing such lung disease. What does this mean? Like anything that's illegal, the black market cartridges are unregulated and usually significantly cheaper to purchase than legal ones. Since they are unregulated and cheaper, they contain many fillers to increase the weight or volume of the product. Some contain no THC. One of these fillers is vitamin E. According to professionals, vitamin E should not be inhaled due to possible adverse lung effects. E-products have been around for about 7 years now, and all of a sudden these reports just started to emerge rapidly. These black market cartridges have only been around for a year or so. The fact that they are this new makes sense that these reports are just now starting to surface. Let's assume E-Products are the cause, the reports suggest 3 deaths as of now. Tobacco, and alcohol are both legal. 88,000 people on average die annually from alcohol, and 480,000 for tobacco. Why don't we hear about this? The large companies don't want us to. We're villanizing the wrong industry.
Now on to my second point; flavors and marketability towards kids. Vaping is stigmatized. Much like cannabis. It's all business. Vaping is shifting the market from these huge cigarette companies and tobacco companies much like how cannabis is shifting the market of the pharmaceutical industry. It is rather hypocritical that flavored vapes should be banned. I guess strawberry ciroq, and Honey flavored backwoods are good for kids? No, they are not. This has nothing to do with safety. It's all business. Using this logic, all flavored alcohol and tobacco products should be banned as well. What isn't appealing about delicious mixed cocktails, or mikes hard lemonade? After all, lemonade is a very appealing soft drink enjoyed by children everywhere. This drink is sold in gas stations and stores everywhere. After flavored juul products were discontinued, flavored alcohol and tobacco products are more prevalent than flavored vaping products in gas stations and stores. As hard as it is to believe, the damage is done. Nicotine is an addictive chemical. Those who are addicted -including children- are already addicted. This ban will get rid of ALL FLAVORS excluding tobacco flavors. Isn't that funny? These individuals addicted to vaping can only vape Tobacco flavored products. It seems like a great idea right? Wrong. Tobacco companies already market to children to replace dying customers. They place advertisements in TV, advertisements near schools, and advertisements specifically in eye level of kids. The flavored vapes are gone, but would you look at that? Flavored tobacco products exist! That means children no longer have to deal with the bland tobacco flavors from vaping. They now pick up a candy flavored cigar, and smoke that. The research on how safe vaping is compared to tobacco isn't sufficient. But what we do know is, the research indicating tobacco kills people is there. Tobacco is deadly, that is a proven fact. We need to collectively think big picture. Lobbyists pay government officials to pass these kinds of laws. In every industry. We shouldn't ban flavored E products, we just need to regulate them heavier to prevent children from accessing them. This includes heavily upping the consequences for furnishing these products to minors. This fight can't be fought alone, vaping is very important for those adults who are using it legally. It has helped a lot of people quit cigarettes. Like stated before, some individuals just enjoy flavored products such as flavored alcoholic beverages. They should be allowed to do the same with E-products. Let them enjoy their flavored products if they wish, we should focus on tightening the regulations, not banning them in total.

Sign this position if you agree that the problem is a lack of regulation for minors. The demand of this is to reconsider the problem and understand it's not the flavor, or the safety concerns. If it was as hard to obtain products with nicotine, as alcohol; the amount of kids using these products would greatly diminish.
