On 6/7/14, the unthinkable happened. Every parent's worst nightmare. A toddler named Nate was attacked by Bowser the Pit Bull in Diamond Bar, California. Poor Nate has gone through several surgeries already, and still has more to go. One would think after a child loses their nose, that the attacking animal would be put down immediately. Unfortunately, this isn't the case. Bowser, the Pit Bull, was set up to fail again by keeping him alive knowing he was already human aggressive. And he did...in a horrifying way.
On 4/26, in Lake Arrowhead, CA, At 5:30 pm, Sherry Schliskey and her husband took their 2 small dogs for their afternoon walk. The SAME Pit Bull who attacked Nate, owned by Joe Cardenas, of 443 Merrimack Drive, charged Sherry's husband and the dogs. Bowser the Pit Bull grabbed the 8 pound poodle, Sarge, by the neck and shook him to death. Sherry and her husband are devastated, as is Nate's mother, Ame. The poodle was being walked responsibly on a leash, the Pit Bull was not.
Knowing the Pit Bull is both people and other animal aggressive, one would think it wouldn't even be a question that the dog be put down. However, this isn't the case. We are begging California Law Enforcement, and Animal Control, to take another look at this issue as a whole, as well as this case in particular. To let Bowser live is to put the life of a vicious animal above humanity and other innocent pets. Please, do the right thing for everyone involved, including Bowser. A peaceful death will ensure that he cannot go onto ruin other lives, as he already has. Joe Cardenas should never be allowed to own another animal in his lifetime. He should also be charged with assault by deadly weapon, x2. He didn't care or take safety measures the first time, and never will. At the rate the things are moving, it will take the DEATH of a person before anything is done to this vicious animal! It should have never been allowed to live after the attack on sweet, innocent, Nate.

California Law Enforcement and Animal Control, please show us you care by doing what's right. Put Bowser to sleep immediately, and do not let Joe Cardenas own another dog.
