Institute Training For Police Officers In Handling Unfamiliar Canines.

In the wake of the recent inhumane killing of Codi the pitbull and the lack of training of officers in handling a unfamiliar canine we petition the Rochester Police Department to institute a training for officers in handling such canines.
We ask that they partner with the Monroe County Sheriff's and K9 Partners Of Monroe County to bring safety and awareness in the community in keeping the community safe when it comes to approaching a unfamiliar dog during the course of their job duties and patrol.
In keeping their "Code Of Ethics" in regarding lives and property where a canine is both and is protected under the 4th Rights Amendment.
Presently, they are not train to handle unfamiliar dogs and don't allow animal control to function in their capacity when animal control is present.
This is essential in preventing a wayward projectile from striking their partner or citizens in preventing serious injury and even death as what has happen in different parts of the country.
I invite Chief James Sheppard to join Monroe County sheriff's in the training they have already instituted for their officers.
Please join us on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/K9partners/

Dear Chief Sheppard:
I am inviting that you join the Monroe County Sheriff's Department that are officially working with our group K9 Partners Of Monroe County in bringing safety and a working relationship with the community in keeping our community safe in regards to our canines and offfering training for officers in doing so.
Monroe County Sheriff's are the first and the only one in the State Of New York in doing so and the only one in the county that started the training where Fort Worth Texas reached out to them in September, 2012 because they saw Monroe County Sheriff the only one working on this training.
I commend the work you're doing with the Twitter Town Hall Internet Meeting, we are 9000 supporters and we recognize that you are interested in getting a working relationship with the community.
Please communicate with Sheriff O'Flynn and Commander Phelps that is handling this training for their officers.
I am looking forward in working and sharing the ideas that you may have and that you can work with the concerns of our supporters.
Our group is already acknowledge by the District Attorney's Office, our professional supporters are Vets., former police officers and canine trainer, therapists, dog trainers, Internet News Editors that are there to put out the news and progress of our group and work with the Monroe County Sheriff's.
I was never promised anything when we began talks about the officer training Sheriff O'Flynn just got the job done with Commander Phelps coordinating the efforts which he now has command of the training center.
Thank you  for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Eddie Cintron
