Demand for Disney’s IP Policies to Be Changed for Fan-Based Content

It has recently come to my attention that the current IP policy is extremely restrictive, and according to this link: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Mickey-Mario-648287557, this user criticizes how your policies are harming fan creations, namely video games and such.

However, it is also restricting certain products that may provide the company with an incredible income based on the “Legends” continuity of Star Wars as well as sound effects for film students and fan filmmakers to utilize for their projects. Not only will letting Skywalker Sound permit new students with the usage of their sound effects, but it can allow authors and people interest in audio dramas to expand upon the Star Wars universe they grew up in for 37 years.

However, certain changes regarding your IP policy need to be changed: written permission to allow for authors to work on “Legends” books, written permission on fair usage for sound effects, especially for Star Wars, and written permission regarding licensing for both Lucasfilm and Disney.
