Canada’s most notorious killer and rapist Paul Bernardo has reportedly applied for day parole in the Toronto area.
The Toronto Star reports Correctional Service Canada sent a letter to at least one of Bernardo’s victims saying he had applied for day parole.
Day parole means the prisoner returns to jail or a halfway house at night.
However, the chances of Bernardo being granted day parole are virtually zero, according to a legal expert quoted in the Star.
Bernardo was sentenced to life in prison for killing Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French two decades ago.
He was also deemed a dangerous offender after admitting to raping over a dozen girls.
