Abdulhadi Alkhawaja is a respected Bahrain human rights activist, Khawaja is on the verge of death after a nearly two-month-long hunger strike.

His family has issued an urgent appeal to save his life, saying the activist may suffer a cardiac arrest at any time.

"It is outrageous from the authorities that do not listen to the words calling for the release of someone who doesn’t even can talk," Bahrain political activist Jafar al-Hasabi

Khawaja began his strike to protest his illegal detention at a ruling by a Bahrain military court, which sentenced him to life in prison.

Last week, Amnesty International called on Manama to release him because of fears for his life. Khawaja and others have been arrested and beaten by Bahrain's interior ministry higher officials.

Taken along with Abdulhadi Alkhawaja were Wafi Almajed and Hussain Ahmed Hussain.

The human rights of the people of Bahrain must be respected. Please sign this petition urging King Hamad ibn Isa Al Khalifa to end the violence against them, and to release peaceful protesters and human rights activists, including Abdulhadi AlkhawajaWafi Almajed, and Hussain Ahmed Hussain.
