DEMAND ENVIRONMENT IMPACT STUDY USAGE FROM CRUISE SHIPS & TANKERS THRU ARCTIC'S NORTHWEST PASSAGE

ARCTIC ANIMALS & MARINE LIFE NEED OUR VOICES! I started this petition for the voices that can't be heard: imperiled polar bears, whales, seals; for all the animals, birds & plant life currently being threatened by the massive onslaught of tankers & cruise ships now traveling thru the Arctic passage. ************** Never before has the Arctic wildlife had to deal with 21,000 pounds of raw sewage just ONE cruise ship dumps daily. This already fragile ecosystem is now dealing with never before seen waste & contamination invading the Arctic habitat & at high risk for wildlife being harmed or killed by trash dumping, a passing ship & many other dangers these super-sized ships bring with them. ************** Ask United Nations programs *UNEP & the *PEDRR for an emergency intervention by either conducting an immediate environmental impact study and/or commission an independent, impartial qualified entity to conduct the study of the Northwest Passage usage by cruise ships & tankers. It is a must for there to be control over the number of ships allowed to use the passage. Many of these ships use a low grade fuel that will accelerate melting the ice. ************** GOAL *UNEP & *PEDRR conduct an Environmental Impact Study/emphasis on tankers & cruise ships; should they be allowed or not (current & future impact) usage of the Northwest Passage with full disclosure to the public. The results of the impact study the foundation for Laws/Rules to be implemented immediately to all ships using the passage.
