Raising awareness for the inequalities women are subjected to throughout the workforce.

National Gender Pay Gap:

The difference between women’s and men’s full time current equivalent earnings, expressed as a percentage is 18.8% with females earning $298.10 less per week than their male counterparts. Is unfavourable treatment based on gender fair?

Historically, female dominated industries and occupations had lower wages/salaries and gender stereotyped the work women and men “should” do. Each industry worldwide has a pay gap favouring men especially in financial, healthcare and science related work.

The Workplace Gender Equality Act of 2012 advise employees to report unequal pay between men and women and sex based harassment or discrimination at the Australian Government Website.
