Demand neighbors of Animal Rescue Team stop their ongoing harassment!

For years Animal Rescue Team (and Julia Di Sieno) have been harassed by their neighbors, and when that failed to bring results they filed a noise complaint. These harassing phone calls to the police, County agencies, etc started DURING ESCROW and is based upon Not In My Backyard, and not actual issues. The latest complaint was to County Animal Services over animal noise (possibly her dog howled at a siren, of course the property is an acre away from a busy highway so it could have been anything). Now the County Animal Services have given Animal Rescue Team a Cease and Desist Order while they investigate the complaint.

Whether it be bottle-feeding orphaned coyote pups, or tending to baby foxes or nursing a baby owl, Julia Di Sieno and her Animal Rescue Team of mostly volunteers play a prominent role in the community.

"We rescue, rehabilitate and release", Di Sieno says, "we try not to keep any wild animal in our custody for any longer than six months because they become habituated."

Di Sieno says Animal Rescue Team Inc. saves troubled or abandoned wildlife from certain death.

Animal Rescue Team needs YOUR SIGNATURE to convince the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Board of SB County to let them continue their work in peace.

Dear Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors,

We would like to bring attention to the Animal Rescue Team's ongoing harassment by their immediate neighbors. In fact, the harassment started during escrow!! Julia Di Sieno runs a clean organization with valid permits to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife for the purpose of releasing them back into the wild.

For the sake of saving wildlife in our area, we ask that you take into consideration this petition, and the signees, who feel the Animal Rescue Team is being unfairly harassed by its neighbors. These neighbors have put out poison, made weekly harassing phone calls, made up wild lies, all to shut down the rescue. This has been ongoing for the last two years. When the weekly harassment failed to bring forth satisfying conclusions, they have resorted to complaining about unfounded noise.  This is absolutely untrue, as no wildlife noises can be heard beyond her property as she has taken every precaution to dampen any possible sounds.  We ask you to please allow the Animal Rescue Team to continue their good works.
