People should sign the petition because it is an opportunity for people to participate in the process of improving living conditions in Public Housing.  People should have a right to safety and affordabilty in Public Housing in the Province of Nova Scotia.  Public housing should be run to meet the needs of the Tenants who pay  fair rent and deserve that the common passage ways and grounds be kept clean and safe free of debris, that the grounds be free of garbage storage near the grounds where people picnic ane enjoy recreation.  Decisions should take into consideration the interests and will of the tenants.

Garbage should not be left uncovered so that it attracts rodents and insects.  It is a  health hazard and is too close to a place where people picnic and freely enjoy the garden area.
