Demand end to Mountain Lion Shooting in Kentucky

On December 16th, the decision was made to shoot a Mountain Lion on a Bourbon County Farm in Central Kentucky stating that it posed a threat to human and animal life.

Dear Kentucky Fish and Wildlife,

Upon hearing the news yesterday about a Mountain Lion being shot in Bourbon County, we were extremely distraught.  These graceful creatures, although predatory carnivores are most likely afraid of humans.  Their natural range was the entire Southeastern United States.  This first sighting was very hopeful to their future.  But, now it seems more dire.  Please consider your policy concerning mountain lion protection in the State of Kentucky.

Sincerely,

Concerned citizens
