Demand a change in emergency SOP for veterans and visitors at all VA clinics

On September 20, 2019 I accompanied my other dad, (as I have always called him) Mr. Danny E Ray, a Vietnam veteran to his primary care physician appointment at the VA clinic in Pensacola, FL. After his appointment he collapsed in the parking lot. I began to administer CPR with the help of another Vietnam veteran. I sent my son inside the clinic for help and not once but twice was he refused help. We were able to get a pulse and shallow breaths back for Mr. Danny but I knew he needed oxygen as his color wasn't good. My son was told they could not bring an oxygen bottle out. I cant swear that it would have saved his life but I strongly believe he would not have had the brain trauma he did had we have gotten some assistance from at least one of the building full of medically trained professionals. We lost Mr.Danny on September 21 after taking him off from life support. I demand how these facilities respond during this type of emergency situation changes. I want at least one paramedic on site at all the VA clinics. All personnel and volunteers need to be trained in how to respond to these situations. The men and women who have served deserve more honor and respect than was given on that day to Mr Danny.
