It seems that petitioning (thanks to Care 2) has become a fad. People are petitioning everything. For example: "Severely Punish Headman Who Demanded Rape of Teen Girl" or "Japan, Don't Risk Another Nuclear Disaster".
There are numerous petitions that I see that are unthinkable such as my first example, I mean...how can anyone think up something so terrible let alone put it into action. However, the problem here is very simple, this is an isolated Indian Village, how can 100 million signatures affect someone in a foreign country in an isolated village?
What I would be interested in knowing is this...who are the people that honestly believe that something can be done about most of the petitions that I see coming out? Where did they go to school? No I am not being rude, I am asking because I understand legalities and International Law and non-interference between Governments. Nothing is going to be accomplished by signing a "Dumb Dumb" petition.
