Tell Oregon Legislation To Pass Landmark Renewable Energy Bill

We are part of a non-profit student organization at the University of Oregon. As part of our Renewable Energy campaign, we will be going to Salem next Tuesday to lobby with elected officials about passing landmark legislation which, if passed, will be the biggest clean energy bill ever in Oregon, and make the state one of the leaders in the country for clean energy.

If passed, the bill would entirely eradicate the use of coal in Oregon by 2030, while committing to double the amount of solar power used to 50% statewide by 2040.

We have collected petitions on campus, and are hoping to supplement them with support from concerned people online. We will bring the petitions with us to Oregon's capital to show that the public supports making a commitment to a sustainable future.
