We the Undersigned state that there needs to be stronger laws against the harm of the innocent children of America, mentally, physically, and emotionally. The cases against these children of abuse often go unheard of and unseen for years to come. We need to put the fear of law into child abusers to help prevent and stop the abuse of children. I believe if there were stronger more serious convictions against abusers, then it would not only do the child justice, but also make abusers think twice about how they handle children. A slap on the wrist for harming a innocent human being, helpless and defenseless, isn't helping put a stop to these horrible crimes committed. I think we need to apply more common sense into these situations, and bring the law down on these convicted souls. Please help by writing to your state representative and finding ways to help protect "our" children. Lets speak for those that aren't heard, listen to the silent cry's and stand up for abused children.

We need to increase the laws on punishment for child abusers of every description. There is no excuse why this keeps getting bigger and bigger. We have the money to help other situations but not the abused, hungry, homeless, or mistreated? I dont understand. This needs to be a TOP priority, these are defenseless human beings going through terrible traumas and they need help. We know everything else that is going on so why cant there be some type of monitoring system required if it helps these children. Automobiles have Onstar, technology has advanced in leaps and bounds. There has been certain issues required by law for citizens but this cant be done? I have been outraged by this for a long time. Please forgive me if i come off as cross, this just happens to be a cause i strongly support. And something needs to be done.

I going through and very bad divorce with 5 children involved. Been married 6 years to an emotionally abusive husband. I decided to leave him June 2008 after we were stationed in Hawaii. The children and I returned home for a visit. After being back home in Missouri for 2 weeks my husband return from Thailand, back to Hawaii. We had an argument where I told him at that point I am not coming back to Hawaii. Shortly after the hot-line reports came in over and over. Every one of them was Mark, trying to make me and the children's lives a living Hell! Call after call DFS came to the house. I tried to tell them what he was doing, he wanted me and the children to come home to Hawaii begging, crying, apologizing over and over and I kept say No! So he got mad and started calling DFS on me making everything up. Now he is out of the army on Honorable Discharge. Division Family Service has given him the children. Now living in the home the children and I did last summer. DFS had condemned the house in Jan 2009 because of water damage from the water heater, that cause the floors to soften & then a hole by the water heater. That got fixed. But now the bathroom has holes in the floor, water is leaking into my son's room, the toilets have not been clean in who knows how long, there is Flies everywhere, mice droppings under the counters, and so on and so on. Right now I have no home and broken down car that I can fix on my own but no money for parts. I can only fit 5 people in my car when I need six seats at least. I am a dump truck/concrete truck driver. All summer long I wouldn't get hours to work because of the rain or just no work. I had an apt but with no work no rent. Now I am just starting not one job but 3, but no car to get there. I didn't get to see my kids this weekend because no car. Please someone help!!!! I am sending this to all of you so that you know what is going on. Please forward this to everyone you know. But I feel that no body is listening expect a few but nobody at the DFS office.Things are turning to the worst again. The children are telling me Mark (their dad) is hitting them. Brianna the oldest sent me a picture of Amy the youngest, after Mark had slapped her in the arm. You can see the red mark and handprint he left. Joey is telling me Mark picks him up by the throat last week. Sarah had three small bruises on her fore arm Tuesday, we happen to be at the Dr's with her because she and the other children are sick. The Dr did see the bruises. I believe they are sick for the fact the house is unclean smells like mold there is flies flying around every where there is holes in the floor of the bathroom under the tub he just put in. The toilet is nasty. And there is signs of mice. I called this in Wednesday Oct. 7Th 2009, to the hot line and they came out to the house at Marks Thursday morning. He called me to tell me this and that they don't think it is unclean and see no signs of abuse. Now Mark is saying he is going to take cell phones away that I pay for, away from Brianna and Joey so that they have no contact with me, because Mark don't always let the kids talk to me or answer his phone. Also he said that I can no longer have my weekend visits there anymore after Friday's visit. Now I am very concern for the safety of my children. I don't think they took that call seriously.
