Save The Congdon Park Ice Rinks

The Duluth, MN School board will be voting on plans to renovate Congdon Park Elementary School on 1/17/12. The current plans involve putting a parking lot in place of where the Congdon Park Ice Rinks currently are. These rinks are heavily used and enjoyed by the surrounding families in the Congdon area as well as by countless others throughout Duluth. They are a tremendous asset to the community as they provide a resource for outdoor activity and recreation and promote physical fitness during the long Duluth winters. If you wish to help save this wonderful area, please sign this petition to ask the school board to vote "No" on the currently proposed school renovations.
We feel that the Congdon Park Rinks are a tremendous asset to our community.  They provide an outlet for outdoor activity and recreation in the community, they promote healthy physical activity and they  represent decades of community volunteer service and tradition. The current plans to build a parking lot in place of the rinks will hurt our community.

Please  VOTE NO to the entire outdoor space portion of the current Congdon Elementary School renovation plans on Tuesday 1/17/12.
