BETWEEN FINNS AND SQUALANE (LIVER EXTRACT/ FOUND IN MANY HIGH-END BEAUTY PRODUCTS) , THE STEAKS THEY PRODUCE, CARTILAGE, AND TEETH. SHARKS DO NOT STAND A CHANCE. THIS NEEDS TO STOP.

We the undersigned would like to contribute this letter to sharks.
Sharks predate dinosaurs. Sharks have kept our enviroment balanced for 450 million years. In one decade humans wipe out ancient shark species.
Over fishing! There are few to no rules regarding shark fishing limits, it's like open season. We as people need establish order: Management plan under;
Common Fishery Policy and establish fishing quotas, "Catch Limits".
Sharks birth only a few pups every couple years----Fear they may not recover. Endimic with larger problems that result in a world with a lifeless sea.
EXAMPLES: Golf Mexico 99% White Tip Sharks are gone, Mediterian Sea -15 large species almost never detected & Great Whites are on the brink of extinction.
* American Shark Tournaments?
*Commercial food?
*Squalane (Shark liver extract)- Used in beauty products and promises of youthfulness.
*Shark Fin Soup? FINNING BANS NEEDED/REQUIRED! (Landed with fins attached needs to also be required). {Sharks being hunted/ Fins cut & and sharks are being thrown back into the ocean to die}.

I personally think that ALL killing of sharks and use of their parts should be completely banned worldwide, by very harsh punishment, since they are at extreme risk of extinction and their use is ANYTHING BUT vital for human survival. So a very strict catch limit would be the very, very least that is called for!

I personally couldn't care less for the future of the human race;our species is just one among many on this planet and has no right to exploit all others, let alone drive them to extinction! I care more for other species since they are more "civilized" in that they take only what they need for their own survival.

These are a couple poems I've written about how important sharks are. Enjoy. Jaws Dark waters swirl beneath my feet; endless Ocean and endless meat. I am a fisherman, an unusual sort, for sharks are my main source of sport. I drag thousands aboard, then cut off their fins, then into the ocean the rest is thrown back in. It starts to sink down, its life ebbs away. Collecting ingredients is just part of my day. Shark fin soup is a delicate treat. Why take one when you can get the whole fleet? Ten years since I started, the ocean was full. Now when I’m out, it’s like there’s nothing at all. Dark waters swirl beneath my feet; endless Ocean, but not endless meat. Predator of the Blue What did I ever do to you? I may look scary, this is true, but I am not mean. I wish it was seen that I’m not as beastly as you. Endangered Why do we humans live in constant fear of something that only kills four each year? You’re more likely to die from hornet stings, or falling down stairs, among other things. These beautiful creatures glide through the blue. Don’t bother them and they won’t bother you. How can a beast weighing three thousand pounds leap into the air; a sight that astounds. Few men comprehend the grace of these fish, but changing your outlook is my one wish. We brutally murder, without a care, hundreds of millions. Now does this seem fair? When a shark attacks we all feel the chill, but men have killed more than sharks ever will. Predator I smell blood. It is somewhere very near. Hurry, hurry, before it disappears! I’ve found the source. Finally some fresh meat, but something is wrong. Why do I feel heat? I can no longer breathe, the water’s gone. In this game of life I’m only a pawn. The ocean is back, but I cannot move. It seems my condition will not improve. The pain is immense; the sea turns to red. With no oxygen I can’t clear my head. I fall to the seafloor, no hope, just death. How could I know I’d soon breathe my last breath. Everyone fears me, but I don’t know why, when I’m the one who’s been left here to die.
