Dear Sir/Madame,
REF: Irena Agastini Barcz
CASE No: C0-7501-20B
HEARING DATE: 31/01/11
We the undersigned would urgently like to appeal against the extradition of Irena Agastini Barcz.
Since 1999 Irena has been persecuted and victimised on account of her membership in the Anti-pedophile Himavanti Confraternity Order, a Hindu religious minority in Poland. As a member of the group, she was working as a therapist of pedophile victims, including special groups of people sexually abused in childhood by Catholic priests and nuns.
Irena is terrified of the danger of ill treatment and the lack of human rights she may face, as Mr Ryszard Matuszewski, the main Himavanti representative had experienced when he was placed in prison for fighting against pedophilia.
Unfortunately, Irena's current state of health is extremely delicate having just under gone a mastectomy in July, due to breast cancer. Irena is a kind a peaceful woman, who has worked for many years to support victims of childhood sexual abuse in Poland and is an experience yoga and relaxation instructor.
Please could we request that Irena's extradition is stopped to avoid any further persecution in accordance with her human rights.
We thank you for your compassion and understanding.
