HASBRO—Dinosaurs Are Female, and Girls Play With Them. Stop Sex- Swapping Jurassic World Figures.

For fans of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, it's well known that ALL of the dinosaurs on the island are female. In fact, in Jurassic World, Chris Pratt’s character often refers to his trained Velociraptors as females. Even the main dinosaur antagonist, Indominus Rex, is also a female!

Jurassic Park and Jurassic World have inspired millions of children around the world—boys and girls alike—to be interested in dinosaurs, paleontology and science.

But despite these facts, in it’s recently released Jurassic World toy line, Hasbro decided to market all of the dinosaur characters as male and aimed at boys, reinforcing gender stereotypes that only boys like dinosaurs and that female action figures don’t sell. Sign this petition to tell Hasbro to stop reinforcing silly and antiquated gender role stereotypes on children and stop gender swapping our dinosaurs.

As the Dinosaur Whisperer, I've had the privilege of interacting with thousands of dinosaur fans of all ages. And you know what? Just as many—if not more—of the biggest dinosaur enthusiasts are girls and women. It's high time that our dino figures reflected that.
