A challenge to the world!

We, the people who have signed this petition, have done so out of love, respect, and peace. We ask you, the members of the United Nations, to take our requests back to your countries, to your governments and to your people and to create a movement using the suggestions and thoughts in this petition.

1. All people of every race, every religion, every socio-economic status are equal.

2. All people share DNA. We are, therefore, one people. As such, if we harm or kill another person in this world, we are, in fact, harming or killing ourselves.

3. All people share DNA with animals, trees, birds, fish, and every aspect of the environment. As such, if we harm or kill another animal, tree, bird, fish or any aspect of the environment, we are, in effect, harming or killing ourselves.

4. We are, in fact, the caretakers of this planet. It is what feeds us, clothes us, gives us water to drink, rain to grow our crops, etc. We must show it the respect it is due by keeping it clean and by not taking or destroying the land, the waters, the air we breathe.

5. If we eat animals, we must honor them for giving their lives in order to feed us. They are not to be abused or disrespected for that would mean we abuse and disrespect ourselves.

6. If we wear animals, we must honor them for giving us a part of themselves that we might be clothed. Again, we honor them by our treatment of them and by only taking what we need...no more. We do not inflict pain or abuse on them in the process.

7. If we live in a dwelling, we must not take more of the resources from the earth than we absolutely need. We must not be greedy with the worlds gifts.

8. We must not put ourselves and our personal resources above anyone elses. We must not be full of our own ego.

9. Whenever and whatever we take from our planet, we must put back. If I cut down a tree, I must plant one. If I take a fish from the river or the sea, I must put one back.

10. We must rise above war. We have no time for hatred. Hatred and war only brings sickness to us as well as to the earth.

11. We must rise above greed. There is more than enough for everyone as long as we honor and respect each other as well as our home.

Thus are the ideas we want to see you share with your governments and people. In this way, life on Mother Earth can be filled with love, dignity and peace.
