About us

Adams County Communities for Drilling Accountability Now (ACCDAN) is registered as a Colorado non-profit organization.

Our mission is to prevent  the location of oil and gas developments near homes and neighborhoods in Adams County  while still allowing for responsible extraction of oil and gas.

The plan to develop a large-scale oil and gas facility in the middle of Wadley Farms community is unprecedented, irresponsible and undermines the very essence of this residential community. If located in the middle of Wadley Farms, this facility will set an alarming precedent for the entire State of Colorado with respect to future establishment of large multi-well facilities within and adjacent to established residential communities.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens of Adams County who support ACCDAN in urging our leaders to act now to keep large industrial oil & gas facilities out of existing neighborhoods. Specifically:

That our government leaders require Synergy to do an ALTERNATIVE LOCATION ANALYSIS as designated by COGCC regulations.
That Adams County allows for COMMUNITY INPUT in County oil and gas regulations pertaining to residential communities.
That Adams County POSTPONE ALL NEGOTIATIONS with Synergy until after COGCC rulemaking on additional mitigation measures for large oil and gas facilities in or near residential communities.
