Demand that police are held accountable for shooting of innocent people

With the recent killings of many unarmed blacks as well as other ethnics of people.
But being black is at the fore front of this selective murder. And the image that our leaders are powerless to do anything about it is not true. I believe that the president has taken a back seat to issues that affect us as Americans and now is the time to act before he leaves office or the incoming president to act. The same way that the government gives states the money to buy military weapons and to imprison people. They have the power to make police accountable for acts of murder. During the rash of murders of citizens the police have 90% of the time either have not been charged or a judge or jury of locals have not made these people accountable. But if the president made a federal law stating or put pressure on cities or states to turn all police involved shootings of unarmed people to be investigated by the justice dept . This would slow down and make police think before they pull the trigger. As it is now it is like letting a murderer pick all his own family members and friends to be on his jury. How is that right. And local judges and prosecutes will not want to bring charges against officers because of there need to have them help them on cases.. But it is time and the solution is simple.
