Tell AdvoCare to stop testing on animals now!

In order to ensure that AdvoCare® products are safe and effective, it is sometimes necessary to test products on animals, which is an appropriate alternative to initially testing products on human subjects. Please help me reach out to the President and CEO of AdvoCare Mr. Richard Wright. Please read, sign and share this petition.

Animal testing is not only unethical and inaccurate, but it is unnecessary.

 Animals feel pain, animals do suffer. 

These tests are performed on animals without anesthesia or pain killers. Tests are done topically and animals are forced to ingest chemicals as well.  They are forced into restraints, their eyes are burned with chemicals, skin is cut off, fur is burned, muscles are cut, large tubes are shoved down their throats and into their nasal cavities, they are pumped full of different substances. They live out their lives in small, metal cages with no other contact than being tested on. None of these animals have the exact same anatomy as humans.
 
Furthermore, there are plenty of companies that do not test on animals that still manufacture quality products and are very successful. Take Arbonne International as an example. They are a company that offers similar products to AdvoCare. Not only does Arbonne NOT test on animals, they are also a 100% Vegan company, no animal products whatsoever. http://www.arbonne.com/

 

Even the drug industry is on its way to finding alternative methods to animal testing. Medical institutions, such as Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD, are developing programs dedicated to creating such methods. Methods such as computer-based testing are rapidly becoming available and do not cost innocent animals their lives. Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing

We, the undersigned, believe that the practice of using animals in testing is unethical, immoral, inaccurate and unnecessary.  We are hereby boycotting the purchase of your products and will no longer indirectly fund the cruel testing of animals until your company proves that you no longer subject animals to this form of torture.  
As you may be aware, many other companies are very successful without using this form of research and there are alternative methods to test your products that don't require the use of a living creature. Here is one such resource (this company is not affiliated with the author of this petition). http://caat.jhsph.edu/ 

We ask you to please consider these alternative methods if you would like to continue receiving our business.  


Mr. Wright, stop testing on animals. Times have changed, more and more people are aware of the atrocities of animal testing and we want cruelty-free products. Please make AdvoCare a cruelty-free company.
