I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed this but ever since Mr. Bazzell became The principal of Wakefield High School, the majority of things have been going way down hill lately, and not too many people like it. I had a brief conversation with Mr. Bazzell, and he told me that the faculty and staff did not want Smart lunch back, to me that said some pretty specific things. For example: The teachers do not want students to bring their grades up, teachers wanted more time for themselves to teach which makes no sense at all because classes are already eighty one minutes long. I've asked at least more than half of this school what they think about Smart lunch being cancelled. They said they didn't like the fact that they are being forced to stay in the Cafeteria, grades have been decreasing ever since smart lunch was taken away and teachers would notice that if we actually had smart lunch but you know that's none of my business. None of the student body appreciates that we only have 30 minutes for lunch. It takes us 30 minutes just get out of the parking lot imagine us trying to get back in, it's very chaotic. What I also don't understand is that if we don't arrive back to school on time from lunch we get our passes taken away.

We used to have an hour for lunch and attendance was great, no we've been given only 30 minutes for lunch. I mean no disrespect but anyone who had common sense would know not to take a whole 30 minutes from lunch. I don't know where the staff's mindset is but obviously it's not in the right place. Mr. Bazzell is confused about why all of this foul behavior is happening ever since smart lunch has been cancelled. Well Mr. Bazzell if you're reading this..... It's happening because it's not all about what the teachers/staff wants, it's about being for the students and and helping us with our education and helping us bring our grades up. If the teachers don't like what's happening they can quit anytime they want, but it's a different story for us students. We can't quit school, if we quit school then our parents would be arrested, it's just that simple. The teachers are not being forced to go to school that's their decision, but we don't get to choose.

We try to make school as enjoyable as possible but every time we do, privileges just keep getting taken away. We would listen to the higher authority, if the higher authority actually listened to us for once. We understand at we can't always get what we want but what needs to be understood by the staff is that we deserve just as much respect as we give them. And for the students who don't give the teachers respect send them to ISS. It's not hard for us to respect you all we need is a fair amount of respect back, because I've noticed some teachers who talk to students very inappropriately, I'm not going to point any out but it's not good that we have teachers like that. You say it's all about the "W", but the students are the ones who made the "W" happen. If it wasn't for us the "W" wouldn't exist, thanks and have a great rest of your day!
