give sports and soccer fans alike a venue to support "the beautiful game" (because at the moment, soccer fans in Phoenix have no where to go to watch a game of live professional soccer)
Soccer is the worlds most popular sport.
The MLS in America is steadily gathering more and more supporters of all backgrounds.
The United States (in general) is becoming more involved on the global soccer scene, and has high hopes of creating a more competitive national team.
Los Angeles has an MLS team, so does Salt lake City, Kansas City, Seattle, San Jose, Portland, Dallas
So why not Phoenix? Whether you enjoy soccer as a sport or not, Phoenix, Arizona has all the requirements to establish and support a Major League Soccer Team, and the population is large enough (14th in the nation - that's a lot larger than Seattle, Portland, San Jose, and Salt Lake City)
