Demand Vast Improvements Towards the Structuring of UWS Screenwriting Module

This petition applies exclusively to the screenwriting module of the UWS Filmmaking and Screenwriting course.

We want to see radical improvement in the quality of the scriptwriting programme delivered by UWS.

We want to receive tutorials by industry standard professionals, focusing on film and television.

We no longer want our submitted work assessed with personal subjectivity.

We want to see a more open minded approach from lectures when assessing and teaching.

We want to sign a register in every class to acknowledge our presence.

We want a variety of lectures rather than a repetition of the same material we've already studied.

We want to be shown examples of screenplays and furthermore how they are succesfully translated onto the screen.

We no longer want to be discouraged or influenced when choosing our personal writing styles.

We want feedback that is constructive, encouraging and helpful.

Funding for lectures to be channeled into bringing professionals into the module, as we feel most lectures dont have the relevant experience.

We want to have the facility for submitting our own scripts.

We want a clearer and more coherent marking system.
