DEMAND AN END TO SPEEDING ON THE STREETS OF TICONDEROGA, NY

The tax paying citizens of Ticonderoga, NY are fed up with the disregard for speed limits in our beautiful town. As the writer of this petition, I have been nearly hit by a car while crossing on a crosswalk, I have seen animals get hit, I have seen older people have to run to cross a street because drivers to not yield to pedestrians in crosswalks. I fear for the children who live on our streets. I fear for joggers and bike riders. School will be starting soon and the speeding only gets worse. We need to have more police presence. They should park in driveways and wait for the offenders to go by. It would be nice if we could have one of the signs that read the speed of oncoming vehicles to make them aware that they are speeding.
