Protect Colombia's Children from Being Sold in Virgin Auctions!

In Medellin, Colombia, virgin girls as young as 10-years-old are being sold at auctions to the highest or — as The Daily Beast puts it — "the sickest" bidder.

Despite the city officials boasting that the new and improved city has recovered since the days of Pablo Escobar's reign of crime and terror in the 1980s, for the poor people of the city, terror still reigns as they are forced to preserve their daughters' virginity (for a nominal fee) by cartels in the sex trade business!

You can help end this despicable practice by turning the international spotlight on the plight of these children and demanding immediate action to crack down on would-be traffickers and rapists in the city.

Please join me in calling on the Mayor of Medellin and the President of Colombia to increase efforts to protect these children and their families!

Attn: Aníbal Gaviria Correa, Mayor of Medellin;

Juan Manuel Santos, President of Colombia

I am saddened and shocked to learn that children of Medellin are being sold at virgin auctions. I realize that the city has come a long way from the days in which Pablo Escobar's reign of terror enveloped Colombia. Nevertheless, more must be done to protect your country's children.

Please take immediate, measurable action to end to this nightmare. Child sex abuse is not acceptable under any circumstances. As long as this continues in Colombia, the country will never truly recover.

Sincerely,
