Demand an End to Horse Slaughter and Better Animal Treatment at Sugercreek Horse Auction Now!

We, as a people, as a State, as a community, as citizens, and as equestrians, demand that the state of Ohio takes their actions into account. Over a lot of research, we have found that the State of Ohio sends horses off to slaughter. We send them to Canada by the truckload, what’s more, the truck drivers, whether by accident or they just don’t care, mistreat the horses. When they get to the slaughter house, they are mistreated still. At the Sugercreek auction, the horses are flat out abused. They are put in very close conditions, with a miniscule amount of food and water. The horses are rarely checked for diseases and injuries when they are admitted to the auction, so it’s a breeding ground for diseases and germs. The conditions are also very, very dirty, infection is common there. It makes many equine owners and riders angry. Please, stop this now. Listen to us, we are the only ones who carry their cries. Horses all over the state, and honestly, the world, cry out for help. We listen to them, and we feel their pain. They cry out for help that we have the power to give to them. We're not asking that you outlaw the auctions. We're asking that they are held in better conditions for the horses, after all most of the horses are taken into loving homes, but because of their injuries, go lame and can never be used for much anything afterwards. So please, please, help us help them. We are only asking that the conditions of auctions in Ohio improve, and that the number of slaughtered horses decreases, after all, there are other meats that are just as nutricious, like steak and chicken. In one article, a woman stated that we need horse meat because it is good for you, and it is delicious, and sweet. But there are other meats that are good for you, there are many uses for horses much better then raising them for slaughter. So please, help us improve the lives of equines in our wonderful state, because there is always room for improvement
