In the 2016-2017 school year at Moore Highschool Oklahoma Mrs. Alexandra Scott was fired after her first year of teaching at the school. In the 2015-2016 school year our former teacher had struggled with many issues at home and had taken up a plethera of days to talk about these problems. In the following year a Mrs.Scoty was hired and one the first things she said on the first day of school was "Your previous teacher did not get you where you need to be, and I plan to do that". Being a student in both years my grade had gone from a 63% to a 98%. She did exactly what she promised. It breaks my heart that a teacher who worked so hard to give each student a fighting chance at a good education in one of the lower educational states was fired. Not only was Mrs. Scott a great teacher with amazing teaching evaluations, she was a teacher who cared. There were numerous occasions where the amazing teacher that Mrs.Scott was helped students with their home lives by talking to them daily and sending encouraging word. And as Mrs. Scott would give her students encouraging words, I'm encouraging you to sign this petition. She is a teacher we need at my school.
