Grandparents Rights to Access children of divorced families

Grandparents have no rights of access to children of divorced parents and have to apply to courts or social services for children in parental or local authority care. They are ignored. Solicitors courts social services string out proceedings for years to cash in on costs. Each member of the family has to apply individually & pay court costs. Money which should be the child's inheritance. Children's Social Services are taking thousands of children and placing them with foster parents and have "targets" for adoption they use children as financial commodities & grandparents as cash cows. They favour the maternal side of the family unfairly. Children's wishes for contact with relatives are ignored. We need a fairer system where grandparents or a family member should at least have contact with children and preferably be the first choice when placing a child in care. This is not so.
