WI Legislature: Support LRB 3346: Classify "Stealthing" As Sexual Assault!

"Stealthing," the practice of nonconsensually removing a condom during sex, may be rare, but it's still a violation. When people negotiate consent for sex, it includes a discussion about protection that's meant to benefit both parties, reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy. When a man removes a condom without asking, advocates argue that this is a form of sexual assault.

Wisconsin Assemblywoman Melissa Sargent has introduced LRB 3346, adding "stealthing" to the state's definition of sexual consent. This provides legal clarity for cases in which victims pursue justice after being stealthed. Do the right thing and send a message to Wisconsinites: Sexual assault will not be tolerated!
