We support the Massachusetts Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act

We support the Massachusetts Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act, a new bill sponsored by Senator Robert Hedlund and Representative Jason Lewis, to ban the cruel confinement of egg-laying hens, veal calves and breeding sows.

Confined in cages and crates so small they cannot even fully stand up, lie down, turn around, or stretch their limbs, countless farm animals are suffering every day on factory farms throughout our state. Several states have already passed laws prohibiting these cruel confinement systems. It's time for Massachusetts to follow suit.

Please actively support the Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act.
