Demand for Extended Harford Transit Link Hours

As anyone who lives within Harford County, Maryland knows, the public transportation system currently in place is a bit lacking.  While the routes themselves cover the majority of the county, the hours that the bus's run leave those who cannot afford their own means of transportation stuck.

The employment situtation in our area seems to leave the citizens of Harford County without their own means of transportation stuck in their own area's to find work.  And while there are plenty of jobs in some locations, others are suffering from unemployment due to a lack in jobs that they are qualified for.

However, should Harford Transit Link extend their operating hours, if only by one hour, this would allow people in Aberdeen, Edgewood, Joppa, Abingdon, and so on to find work in various other areas of the county without fear of having no way to get home in the evenings.

Therefore, we the citizens of Harford County, and other interested parties, ask that the State and Federal Government appropriate the funding necessary for the Harford Transit Link to extend their hours, and thereby enriching the lives of the citizens of Harford County, Maryland.
