Could you imagine products from your favorite brands that are very healthy for people, good for the environment, and support protection of animals? There is a trend towards veganism and vegetarianism. Plant-based options are becoming more popular. The emergence of cruelty-free and vegan products and companies is gradually becoming a challenge to current long-time companies. Let’s urge popular big-name companies to add more cruelty-free and plant-based ingredients in all of their products and more cruelty-free and plant-based products in their brands.

Animals are intelligent, sentient beings and can feel love, pain, hunger, fear, sorrow. They form bonds and mourn the loss of their loved ones. For example, cows have been known to cry when their calves are taken away. I knew a duck at a sanctuary who, after his best duck friend passed away from old age, became heart-broken and also passed on shortly thereafter. In addition, farmed animals endure torturous slaughtering and other bodily abuse (while they’re alive!), are kept for years in tiny crates where they can’t move, are overbred/overfed and become obese leading to health problems, die young due to farm practices and slaughter. Chicks are ground alive. Moreover, there are animals tested on in labs enduring horrible pain for personal care and household products.

Animal farming is wasteful and unsustainable. Excessive clearing of land for livestock to graze on is unproductive. The amount of plants fed to one farmed animal, to illustrate, can be used directly to feed an overflowing number of people rather than only a very minimal number if fed the animal. World hunger can be reduced using plants directly to feed people rather than feeding livestock. Animal farming has caused pollution of water and land. Blood, feces, antibiotics, and other contaminants seep through the water and land, especially when there is a spill.

By adopting a plant-based lifestyle, even including plant-based processed products and snacks from favorite brands, health can be improved dramatically. Diseases can be reduced or prevented. Adopting a plant-based lifestyle, I have more energy, no more stomach aches, better digestion, shinier hair than normal, changed my eyeglass prescription because it improved, etc. There is a wide variety of plant-based or non-animal-based sources by which animal-derived ingredients can be replaced.

Please sign my petition for a healthier well-being, more protected environment, and the protection and well-being of our animals on this planet. For compassion, as someone quoted, “Press on, full speed ahead.”
