The following Bills 1318 1nd 1319 needs to be reevaluated and put into play for prisoners that have shown a positive change by taking classes and participating in Rehabilatative Programs I am a firm believer in rehabilatation if the prisoner shows remorse for wrong doing. Please see attached letter.

Dear Judiciary Committee,

I am writing in regards to the House bills 1318 and 1319 Please schedule House Bills 1318 and 1319 for a hearing ASAP. These Billsdirectly affect the life of my loved one Jeffrey Mueller who has been incarcerated at Southeast Missouri Correctional Center in Charleston, Missouri for the last 5 years. He has completed the following programs while spending his time at SECC: ITC Program 1 year, Assisted in being a Facilatator of classes: Importanance of Crime on Victims, Chapter on Drunk Driving,Chapter on Elderly Abuse. In addition he has been the facilitator of Reformers Anonymous and had attended Crimanalality class, and is currently enrolled in Transition Training.

Jeffrey is active in the OOA Kids on Probation in which he finds makes a difference in the lives of these young adults. Jeffrey requested to be part of the Bootheelers Canine Corp in which he trained and adopted out a labrodor retriever mix as a rescue dog. lives. I believe this program Puppies for Parolies has made my brothers life in prison a life worth living and fighting for. He is a kind and campassinate human being that realizes his past mistakes and how they have effected others.

We as he family, wish for these programs and classes to be identified as a positive step toward rehabilitation and a push toward passing these bills to bring my brother home to his family and two sons in a more appropriate time frame. Please consider Jefrey Mueller's story when presented with the pasing of these Bills.

Sincerely,

Tammy Ring
