21-year-old Chavis Carter was shot in the back of a patrol car.
He was in a car that was pulled over by the police. After being searched twice and handcuffed, he was put in the back of the patrol car. While Officer Keith Baggett searched the car, he heard a strange noise, which was apparently Carter shooting himself in the head.
Somehow, the gun Carter had on him was missed in both searches, and he was able to shoot himself in the head with the wrong hand (he was shot in the right temple, but he's left-handed) while handcuffed. Not only is this nearly impossible, but he had just told his girlfriend that he would call her from jail.
Something about this does not ring true. Please tell the Jonesboro Police Department to fully investigate the death of Chavis Carter!
Dear Jonesboro Police Department,
I am writing concerning Chavis Carter.
He was shot in the back of a patrol car. Police officers claim he shot himself, even though he's left-handed and he was shot in his right temple, not to mention the fact that he was handcuffed and had also been searched twice.
Please get justice for Chavis Carter!
Thank you for your time.
