Israel’s plants and animals are disappearing at an alarming rate. According to a new report published by the Society for the Prevention of Nature in Israel (SPNI),

The ministry added that in addition to efforts to stop overdevelopment that could be dangerous to plants and animals. Environmental Protection Minister Amir Peretz has also helped protect wildlife and fauna by calling for “stiffer punishments for illegal hunters” as well as encouraging building “within cities rather than in open spaces.”
