People need to be aware that pancreatic cancer is the most underfunded of all cancers receiving only 1% of all funding yet it's the 5 th most common of all cancers effecting 8,500 people a year. It has stagnated as 40 yrs ago only 3% survived and now 40 years later it stays the same. Breast Cancer received 8% Cancer research funding and the survival rate 40 years ago was 46% survived 5years or more but now with that 8% Cancer research funding the survival rate is now a incredible 80% of all the people I have asked where their pancreas is no one answered correctly let alone knew what the pancreas does. We need awareness and now! Teenagers who binge drink are at risk so the 5 th most common cancer may soon be higher. It's a horrendous disease that killed my Nanar and mum I don't want people to suffer like they did please help to help people be aware. Let's save lives the ambition of the PCRF is to double survival rates in 5 years please let us make this happen.
