Популяризируется, как новый вид развлечений, стрельба в населённых пунктах по животным и птицам из пневматического оружия. Ветеринарные клиники фиксируют небывалый всплеск обращений граждан с животными, изувеченными из этого вида оружия. И если ещё вчера мишенями трусливых бездельников были голуби, вороны, кошки и собаки, то сегодня по стране ежегодно фиксируются сотни случаев стрельбы по людям, в т.ч. детям.
Варварски истязаются животные и в конном спорте.

Повсеместно – в крупных городах и курортных - процветает садистский фотобизнес с использованием диких животных.
Никем не регламентируется использование животных в российском кинематографе, которые просто подвергаются истязаниям и убийствам.

Всё чаще бесправные животные России становятся жертвами политических игр. И, наконец, одно из самых подлых преступлений против животных, коснувшееся всех сфер использования животных – запрещение федеральной службой по контролю за оборотом наркотиков (Госнаркоконтроль) препарата для наркоза животных «кетамин», не имеющего аналогов в РФ. Запрет на наркоз принёс мучения и гибель тысячам российских животных.
Что касается животных-компаньонов, то всех городах России, за исключением Москвы и Санкт-Петербурга (где официально запрещено убивать), единственным методом регулирования численности бездомных животных продолжают быть отлов и умерщвление. На отлове и умервщлении хорошо зарабатывают все звенья этих варварских мероприятий . Если садисты убили 10 собак , то в официальвых документах регистрируется убийство 40 собак так например в Ростове на таких убийствах хорошо обогатились и ловцы-убийцы и администраторы города.
