Shut Down Pro-Rape Supporter Roosh Valizadesh's Twitter Account IMMEDIATELY!

  • by: Paige D
  • recipient: Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter

As a woman, I was absolutely furious and disgusted when I learned that Roosh Valizadesh, a supporter of "legal rape" planned to hold "men's rights activist" meetings this Saturday in Chicago and other communities around the world. The rallies have since been cancelled, but the danger remains.

Just a few examples of the hateful, dangerous ideas Roosh Valizadesh is promoting:

    • In Feburary 2015, Roosh posted this to his blog:"I propose that we make the violent taking of a woman not punishable by law when done off public grounds."
    • In one of his books describing his sexual exploits, Roosh stated "While walking into my place, I realized how drunk she was. In America, having sex with her would have been rape, since she legally couldn't give her consent. It didn't help matters that I was relatively sober, but I can't say I cared or even hesitated."

With nearly 12,000 followers, Roosh Valizadesh is successfully using Twitter to recruit men who believe it is their right to use and abuse women. And he has demonstrated every intention of seeing that his pro-rape, anti-women ideas are realized in communities around the world. We must stop him.

Please sign my petition now and urge Jack Dorsey to shut down this awful account and make the internet — and our communities — safer for women.

Mr. Dorsey,

As someone who believes in gender equality and is concerned about violence against women, I strongly urge you to suspend Roosh Valizadesh and his Return of the Kings accounts on Twitter.

It is my belief thst this page not only violates Twitter's terms of service, but also represents a real danger to women and girls who may be targeted by Valizadesh's pro-rape, anti-woman ideas.

A self-described "pick up artist," Valizadesh has proposed that "we make the violent taking of a woman not punishable by law when done off public grounds" and describes personal encounters where he says he says he "can't say I cared or even hesitated" to rape a woman who was too drunk to consent.
