Ohio General Assembly: Allow Cities To Control Their Own Minimum Wage.

For the individuals and families returning to Ohio's cities, the cost of living has been rapidly increasing.

In Cincinnati, the average rent between 2013 and 2014 went up 3.4%. Ohio cities, and their voters, should be afforded the liberty of raising their minimum wage to help ensure that these new economic realities do not create an undo burden on their working families.

Attorney General Mike DeWine recently released an opinion stating that Ohio cities cannot raise their minimum wage, that only the state has that authority. We, the undersigned, respectfully disagree with this assertion and wish to petition the Ohio General Assembly to act and make clear to Ohio's cities that we have this right.
