Remove Animals From Sequim Farm Pending Investigation and Outcome

  • by: Sue Lee

A recent investigation revealed neglected and abused animals. This investigation is ongoing to determine if the animals are safe if they remain at the facility, since there was the discovery of another deceased animal. With that being said, authorities should err on the side of caution and remove the animals until such time as it is clear that the owner is not responsible for neglect or abuse.

Last week when other animals were seized at this property, authorities a pig was discovered dead and when returning to the farm, another deceased animal was found. A neighbor alerted the police of the findings, believing the pig was dead for more than a day. A necropsy is to be performed to determine cause of death and help in further information on this on-going animal neglect investigation. Still, not all the animals have yet to be removed.

We are urging authorities to remove all animals before more are subjected to any possible neglect and abuse. Investigators need to determine if there is guilt and warrant for the owner of the animals allegedly abused and neglected by him. At such time, charges will be implemented. In the meantime, we urge all animals to be removed and kept in healthy conditions until the investigation is complete. You can help by signing and sharing this petition.

Clallam County Sheriff's office - Ensure that you remove all animals from the Sequim Farm pending a full investigation. Until there are specific answers as to possible guilt of neglect, cruelty and animal abuse, remove the remaining animals from the property so they can live happy, healthy lives. Ensure a full investigation and if the man is guilty, provide appropriate charges for each of the animals injured, neglected and those that perished.
