NY legislator, Mike Anagnostakis, has, refreshingly, proposed a new law that will go up for vote in May of this year. Inspired by the untimely death of an otherwise healthy Staffordshire terrier, named "Rocky", from neglect and abuse by its owners, this new law will be one of the toughest in the nation. It will create an ANIMAL ABUSE REGISTRY that will prevent the abusers of animals from owning one, and create a means of punishment, which currently is missing, in our laws, here in the USA. Animals are innocent, defenseless individuals and depend on us all to protect them, and to keep them safe. VICTORY!!!! The Orange County Legislature voted UNANIMOUSLY in favor of Rocky's Law,tonight!!. New York is now the first state in the country with such a law, and has set a precedent. I delivered a short speech and 60 pages containing 1,809 of our signatures! The petition was mentioned as it was most impressive, with signatures all over the WORLD! So awesome ! WE DID IT!!!
